1.: You can run into the Big Bear BBQ food truck in either the Main Square, the Park or the Beach. The food truck is only available from 10AM to 4PM every day except for Mondays.
2.: Each time you approach the truck a scene will play out where you can either get food or leave.
2a.: If you choose to leave the same scene will play out the next time you arrive at the truck.
2b.: If you get food the storyline will progress.
3.: After the 3 intro scenes you will become a “regular” and can decide who you want to talk to once you approach the truck.
4.: Once you’ve interacted with the truck more than 7 times, the next Friday a special scene will appear where the Bears will ask you who you like the best from the three of them.
5.: You have to choose one of them, then your chosen Bear will ask you on a series of dates leading up to a charity cookout they are attending. At this point you can still reject them, but if you agree, the storyline will continue.
Travis Route

7b.: If you leave it alone he won’t invite you again.
8.: On the second date he’ll ask you to talk to vendors instead of him.
8a.: If you do as he asked you will get the positive ending for this date.

Cookout
9.: The cookout will take place two weeks from the day you chose which route you will take on Sunday. You can reach the event from the text that appears at home.
10a.: If you’ve successfully completed both of your dates with your chosen Bear you will reach the Good Ending, where the Bears win the cookout with your help and you will get a longer scene with your chosen Bear.

11.: In case of you reaching the Good Ending when you visit the food truck after the cookout a special scene will appear with your Bear that you can replay on top of the ones you already had.
Big Bear BBQ Walkthrough
This walkthrough will guide you through the story of "Big Bear BBQ" in Hornstown, helping the food truck team win the cookout competition while building a romantic relationship with your chosen character. You'll interact with three main characters: Brandon (the chain-smoking driver who's rough but loyal), Travis (the cheerful chef who runs the food truck), and Denzel (the shy but hardworking cook, Travis's nephew). Your goal is to help the guys win the cookout and achieve a satisfying romantic ending with your favorite character. Your choices will shape the outcome, so follow these steps to get the best ending!
Initial Steps: Getting to Know the Guys
- Visit the food truck multiple times: In your first few visits, you'll meet Brandon, Travis, and Denzel. Chat with them and be friendly—this builds a good foundation for later. On slow days, the guys are happy to talk and will share their plans for the cookout, a charity cooking competition.
- Be mindful of your attitude: When making choices, try to be cooperative and avoid arguing too much. If you're too pushy (like arguing with Brandon or not following instructions), it can hurt your relationship with the guys.
Route Choice: Who Do You Want to Get Closer To?
At some point (usually on a Friday after you've visited the food truck a few times), the guys will ask who your favorite is among them. This choice determines who you'll build a closer relationship with. There are three routes (Brandon, Travis, Denzel), and you can achieve the best ending on any of them by following the steps below.
Brandon's Route: Helping the Driver Find the Perfect Route
Brandon's goal is to find the fastest route to the cookout venue so the guys can secure the best parking spot. Brandon is rough and a bit arrogant, but if you cooperate with him and avoid arguing too much, your relationship will grow stronger.
- Choose Brandon as your favorite:
When the guys ask who your favorite is, say Brandon. Travis and Denzel will be a bit disappointed, but Brandon will be happy and invite you to help him test routes the next two Sundays. - Accept his invitation:
Brandon will ask if you're free the next two Sundays to test a route to the cookout venue. Say yes and give him your address. If you decline, your relationship won't deepen, and the guys will perform worse at the cookout. - First Date with Brandon (1st Sunday):
Brandon picks you up in a food truck and takes you to the garage where the truck is stored. On the way, he shares stories about his past (he used to be a truck driver and settled in Hornstown), and he rests his hand on your knee—don't react negatively, as this gesture is part of building your relationship.
At the garage, Brandon starts packing the truck to simulate the cookout day's weight. When he offers to pack alone, don't argue with him and stay put. If you argue that you want to help, Brandon will get annoyed, which hurts your relationship.
During the test drive, Brandon asks you to navigate with a map while he uses the GPS. Don't question why you need to navigate, as this will irritate Brandon. Just accept the task and help him.
During the route test, Brandon drives fast and explains that they need to reach the park in 8 minutes on the cookout day to get the best spot. If you didn't argue with him, the trip takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds, which is a good result, and Brandon will praise your navigation skills. - Second Date with Brandon (2nd Sunday):
This time, Brandon arrives in a different car, and you go to the garage to test another route with the truck. At the garage, Brandon kisses you, leading to a romantic moment—don't reject him, as this strengthens your relationship.
During the second test drive, there's an accident blocking part of the road. Use the map to suggest a side road to detour around the accident. If you don't step in, the trip will take longer, and Brandon will be disappointed.
If you suggested a side road, the trip takes 7.5 minutes, which is even better than the last time, and Brandon will be thrilled. At the park, Brandon wants to check out the venue, but Travis calls, and he has to take the truck back, so he drives you home. - Cookout Day:
If you were cooperative on both dates and didn't argue with Brandon, the guys will get the best spot at the cookout thanks to the fast route, and they'll win the competition. At the end of the day, you'll have a romantic moment with Brandon to close the story.
If you argued with Brandon or didn't suggest a side road, the route will take too long (11 minutes), and the guys will only get second place, leaving Brandon disappointed.
Tip for Brandon's Route: Be cooperative, don't question Brandon's decisions, and help with navigation. If you passively follow his instructions and avoid arguments, your relationship will grow, and the guys will win.
Travis's Route: Helping the Chef Perfect the Recipe
With Travis, your goal is to help him develop a new recipe for the cookout that will impress the guests. Travis is friendly and direct, but the cookout is very important to him, so he appreciates it if you take your help seriously.
- Choose Travis as your favorite:
When the guys ask who your favorite is, say Travis. Brandon and Denzel will be disappointed, but Travis will be overjoyed and invite you to help him test new recipes for the cookout. - Accept his invitation:
Travis asks if you'd like to be a taste-tester to help him develop new recipes. Say yes, and agree to meet him at the truck after closing the following week. If you decline, your relationship won't deepen, and the guys will perform worse at the cookout. - First Date with Travis:
Travis is waiting for you at the food truck, where he's already prepared several cheese steak sandwiches with different breads, meats, and spices. You taste them together, and Travis asks for your opinion.
Be honest and try to give helpful feedback. If you can specifically say which sandwich you liked best and why (e.g., "the spicy meat with the sesame seed bread is the best"), Travis will appreciate it, and you'll work together to create a new recipe. Afterward, Travis offers you lemonade and shares stories about his past (how he became a chef and met Brandon).
After the tasting, Travis offers to "thank you properly"—this is a romantic offer. Accept his offer, as this strengthens your relationship. If you decline, Travis won't be upset, but your relationship won't deepen as much.
If you can't give helpful feedback (e.g., you just say "it was good"), Travis will be a bit disappointed, as he was hoping for more input. In this case, you can offer to "help in another way" (another romantic offer), but Travis will decline, as he's focused on the recipe. - Second Date with Travis:
This time, Travis is preparing meat skewers with vegetables, which will be easy to serve at the cookout. While the meat cooks, Travis suggests "passing the time somehow"—this is another romantic offer. Accept his offer, as this further strengthens your relationship. If you decline, Travis won't be upset, but your relationship won't deepen as much.
During the tasting, Travis asks for your opinion again. Try to give helpful feedback again, such as choosing the chicken thigh with a slightly spicy coating, paired with mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers as the best. Travis takes notes, and you find the best combination together.
After the tasting, Travis gets a phone call because Brandon didn't pick up the other car from the mechanic, so Travis has to go get it. Say goodbye to him and head home. - Cookout Day:
If you gave helpful feedback on both dates and accepted Travis's romantic offers, the recipe will be a huge success at the cookout, and the guys will win the competition. At the end of the day, you'll have a romantic moment with Travis to close the story.
If you didn't give helpful feedback or declined the romantic offers, the recipe won't be good enough, and the guys will only get second place, leaving Travis disappointed.
Tip for Travis's Route: Be helpful and give specific feedback on the recipes. Accept Travis's romantic offers, as these strengthen your relationship and increase the chances of winning.
Denzel's Route: Helping the Cook Get the Best Ingredients
With Denzel, your goal is to help him buy ingredients at the market so Travis can work with the best materials at the cookout. Denzel is shy and insecure, so he appreciates it if you're supportive and help him out.
- Choose Denzel as your favorite:
When the guys ask who your favorite is, say Denzel. Brandon and Travis will be surprised, Denzel will blush, and he'll invite you to help him shop at the market on Monday. - Accept his invitation:
Denzel asks if you'd like to go to the market with him to buy ingredients for the cookout. Say yes, and agree to meet him at the market early Monday morning. If you decline, your relationship won't deepen, and the guys will perform worse at the cookout. - First Date with Denzel:
At the market, Denzel is nervous but happy you're there. He explains that he's looking for special mushrooms for Travis's new recipe, but there's a vendor he's afraid of because the guy sells them at a high price, and Denzel can't haggle.
You have three options:
- Step in and haggle with the vendor for Denzel: Offer to negotiate with the vendor. This requires confidence, but if you do it, you'll get the mushrooms at a better price, and Denzel will be very grateful. This strengthens your relationship.
- Pay for the mushrooms yourself: If you have enough money, offer to cover the cost of the mushrooms. Denzel will protest but accept, and he'll pay you back later. This also strengthens your relationship.
- Let Denzel give up on the mushrooms: If you don't step in, Denzel will be sad but move on to buy other ingredients. This hurts your relationship, as Denzel feels he failed his task.
After shopping, Denzel buys you lemonade and shares how he got used to the market over time. At the end of the day, he walks you to his place but doesn't invite you in—be patient and say goodbye with a kiss on the cheek. - Second Date with Denzel:
On the second date, Denzel invites you to the market again to buy more ingredients. He's more confident this time because you helped him before.
While shopping, Denzel suggests "passing the time somehow" while he deals with other vendors—this is a romantic offer. Accept his offer, as this strengthens your relationship. If you decline, Denzel won't be upset, but your relationship won't deepen as much.
After shopping, Denzel walks you home and thanks you for your help. Say goodbye to him kindly. - Cookout Day:
If you helped Denzel get the mushrooms on the first date (by haggling or paying) and accepted his romantic offer on the second date, Travis will have the best ingredients to work with, and the guys will win the cookout. At the end of the day, you'll have a romantic moment with Denzel to close the story.
If you didn't help Denzel get the mushrooms or declined his romantic offer, Travis won't have the best ingredients, and the guys will only get second place, leaving Denzel disappointed.
Tip for Denzel's Route: Be supportive and help Denzel get the mushrooms (haggle or pay for them). Accept his romantic offer on the second date to strengthen your relationship and increase the chances of winning.
General Tips for the Best Ending
- Be cooperative: The guys appreciate it if you help them and don't argue with them. If you're too pushy, it can hurt your relationship.
- Accept romantic offers: On all three routes, accepting romantic moments strengthens your relationship and increases the chances of a good ending.
- Focus on the cookout's success:
- With Brandon, finding the fastest route is key.
- With Travis, perfecting the recipe is crucial.
- With Denzel, getting the best ingredients is important.
- On Cookout Day: If you did well, the guys will win the competition, and the day will end with a romantic moment. If not, they'll get second place, and the mood will be disappointed.
Summary
- Brandon's Route: Cooperate, don't argue, help with navigation, and accept romantic opportunities.
- Travis's Route: Give helpful feedback on recipes and accept romantic offers.
- Denzel's Route: Help get the mushrooms (haggle or pay) and accept the romantic offer.
Follow these steps, and the Big Bear BBQ will win the cookout, with a romantic ending with your chosen character!
